About The Project

MODEL: Epoxy Terrazzo Eel

Designed by Studio Cassels in Hong Kong, the seating elements were envisioned with a terrazzo-like finish and needed to seamlessly integrate with cabinetry throughout the gallery.

Due to the weight constraints of the installation, we chose an epoxy-based solution over traditional concrete terrazzo.

Moulds were CNC milled in negative and cast into.

The pieces were fabricated in our Perth workshop and shipped to Sydney in sections for installation by Museum staff.

Due to production constraints we provided an initial foam duplicate so the Museum could open the gallery.
