MODEL: 6m Megalania
2022 CDM Supplied models for the Queensland Museum for their Dinosaurs unearthed exhibition
CDM delivered a 6-meter long Megalania (Varanus priscus) rearing up on its hind legs
Megalania was a gigantic monitor lizard that lived 500,000 — 40,000 years ago, found throughout central and eastern Australia, often confused with the smaller Komodo Dragon
Working with paleo artist Vlad Konstaniov the 3D assets were sectioned up and printed in-house on our large format SLA machines
The internal shells were strengthened with epoxy and steel reinforcement
Fabricated in Perth Western Australia and shipped to Brisbane.

MODEL: 4.2m Australovenator
As well as fabricating the 6m long Megalania, CDM also supplied a 4.2m Australovenator and an additional smaller dinosaur elements
